Job Description
- Lead a team in evaluating and enhancing SoC and system-level performance and energy efficiency.
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, software, and architecture teams to implement initiatives for improved performance and reduced power consumption.
- Coach and guide team members, providing technical support for complex problem-solving.
- Performance & Power Analysis / Optimization responsibilities.
- Track and assess performance and power metrics throughout the product lifecycle to ensure targets are achieved.
- Develop, deploy, and advocate methodologies and tools for performance and power evaluation, measurement, and optimization.
- Diagnose system bottlenecks and recommend solutions; facilitate the adoption of new technologies such as DVFS, low-power design techniques, and resource management strategies.
- Refine Windows PPM (Processor Power Management) configurations for WoA (Windows on ARM) platforms to boost system efficiency and performance.
- Adjust and fine-tune Windows Power Management settings to ensure optimal system performance while minimizing energy consumption.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years in SoC/system performance and power optimization, including at least 3 years in managerial or technical leadership roles (for leadership positions).
- Background in CPU, GPU, or SoC product development is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of SoC architectures (ARM/x86) and operating systems including Android, Linux, and Windows.
- Experienced with performance and power analysis tools (e.g., perf, trace, power profiler, power modeling).
- Hands-on experience with DVFS, low-power design, and system resource management techniques.
- Skilled in identifying system bottlenecks and proposing effective optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with WoA (Windows on ARM) platform architecture and experience optimizing Windows PPM (Processor Power Management) settings.
- In-depth understanding of Windows Power Management architecture, including power policies, power states, driver interactions, and OS power frameworks.
- Experience in developing or tuning Windows power management drivers (e.g., ACPI, PEP, power framework).
- Proficiency in configuring Windows power policies and adjusting performance/power profiles for optimal efficiency.
